Chrysler 200 First Drive
After spending an entire day with the 2015 Chrysler 200, I have come to the conclusion that it is worthy of the 200 nameplate. The entire car has been redesigned and is built off of the same platform as the Dodge Dart and the Jeep Cherokee. Because of its shared architecture with the Cherokee, it is the industry's first midsized sedan with standard 9 speed automatic transmission, allowing for an amazing 35 MPG highway. New to the 200 is an innovative all wheel drive system that allows for a fully disconnecting rear axle. The disconnecting rear axle improves the fuel economy and reduces parastic loss when all wheel drive is not needed. The 200 also features two familiar, yet great engine choices, one being the 3.6-Liter Pentastar V-6 that puts out an impressive 295 horsepower. The standard engine choice is the 2.4-Liter MultiAir2 Tigershark engin,e which we are all familiar with in the Dodge Dart. The 200 is also loaded with tons of state of the art technology including electronic shifting via a rotary dial. The beloved 8.4 inch touch screen display is finally making its way into the 200 using the all new Uconnect2 system. If you are in the market for a midsized sedan, you should really consider the 2015 Chrysler 200 ... and the best part is that it has a starting MSRP of $21,700. Make sure to check back in the next few days for the full review!
